Privacy policy
This policy explains what information Telariq collects, why, where it is kept, and the choices you have. It covers the website at telariq.com and the Telariq app at app.telariq.com.
Last changed 11 October 2026.
Who we are
Telariq is run by Blue Global Solutions LLC, Sharjah Media City, Sharjah, United Arab Emirates, company number 2114317.01. We are responsible for the personal information described here. You can contact us about privacy at admin@telariq.com.
Who the information is about
A Telariq account is held by an adult aged 18 or over. The student applying to university is often 16 to 18, so much of what is saved in an account is information about a young person, entered by the adult who holds the account. We ask for only what the app needs to work, and we never use it for advertising or profiling.
What we collect
On this website
- If you ask to be told when Telariq launches: your email address and the time you gave it.
- Like any website, our servers keep a log of requests. The log includes the address of the page you asked for, the time, your IP address and your browser's name and version, and is kept for one day.
- The demos use sample profiles and ask for nothing about you.
Your account
- Your email address and, if you sign in with a password, that password. Passwords are held by our sign-in provider in scrambled (hashed) form; we cannot read them.
- If you choose "Continue with Google": your name and email address, which Google shares with us when you agree. We do not receive your Google password, and we ask Google for nothing beyond your basic profile and email.
- Your confirmation that you are 18 or over.
- A name and phone number, if you choose to add them in Account.
The student's profile
- Country of residence and country of citizenship.
- Curriculum (for example A-level or the IB), subjects of interest, and a budget range if you choose one.
- Predicted or achieved grades, and notes about academic record and activities outside class, if you enter them.
- Sex, if you choose to give it, used only to show published offer rates for that group.
What you do in the app
- Courses and universities you shortlist or save, and the preferences you set for ordering them.
- Your application checklist: items you tick off, to-dos you add, test dates, and whether a UCAS reference has been requested or received.
- Personal statement drafts you write in the app.
- Questions you send through Ask us, and our answers.
- Reminder and display preferences.
What we do not collect
- No documents. The checklist records that you have a document, such as a passport or transcript. The document itself is never sent to Telariq.
- No financial details. Figures you enter in Finances, such as what your family can contribute, stay on your screen and are not saved. We store only whether you have marked your finances as reviewed.
- No payment card details. When payments start, they will be handled by a payment provider; Telariq will not see or store card numbers.
- No tracking. No advertising, no analytics, and no tracking across other websites.
Why we use it
We use this information only to provide Telariq to you: to sign you in, to show courses, costs and requirements that fit the student's profile, to keep your shortlist and checklist, to answer your questions, and to send emails you need, such as sign-in links and password resets. Our legal basis for this is providing the service you asked for.
If you ask to be told when Telariq launches, we use your email address to send you a confirmation when you sign up and one email on the day, with your discount code. When you sign up, your address is also sent to our own team by email, so that we know you have joined the list. Our legal basis for this is our legitimate interest in telling you about the launch you asked to hear about.
Who else handles it
We use a small number of service providers, each only to run Telariq:
| Provider | What it does | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Supabase | Stores the app's data and the launch list, and handles sign-in | Mumbai, India |
| Vercel | Hosts telariq.com and the app, and runs the app | Mumbai, India, with a global network that delivers pages |
| Resend | Sends sign-in, confirmation, password and launch emails | United States |
| Signs you in, only if you choose "Continue with Google" | Global |
We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with universities, agents or advertisers. We would disclose it only if the law required us to.
Information from Google
Telariq's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We use your Google name and email address only to create and sign in to your Telariq account.
Cookies and browser storage
This website, telariq.com, sets no cookies. The Telariq app uses only what it needs to work:
- A cookie that remembers you have entered the access password during the private preview.
- Browser storage that keeps you signed in.
- Browser storage for small preferences, such as light or dark mode, a hint you dismissed, or the courses you were comparing.
There are no advertising or analytics cookies, so there is nothing to opt out of. See also Cookies.
International transfers
Your information is stored in India and may be handled by the providers above in other countries. Where the law requires it, we rely on safeguards such as the providers' standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
We keep your account's information until your access ends, at 23:59 on 30 June of the year the student starts, and delete it then. If you ask us to delete your account sooner, we delete the account and everything in it within 30 days, except anything the law requires us to keep.
If you only asked to be told about the launch, we delete your email address 60 days after Telariq launches, or sooner if you ask.
Your choices and rights
You can see and change most of your information in the app at any time. You can also ask us to:
- give you a copy of the information we hold about you and the student,
- correct anything that is wrong,
- delete your account and its information,
- stop or limit how we use it.
Email admin@telariq.com from the address on your account. We will reply within one month. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the data protection authority where you live; in the UK that is the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
Security
Each family's information can be read only by that family's own account; this is enforced by the database itself, not just the app. Connections are encrypted, and passwords are stored only in hashed form.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we use your information, we will update this page and change the date at the top. If the change is significant, we will tell account holders by email.
